This week, our APEC group (Asia-Pacific) has started their first promotion events for the upcoming Asia-Pacific Cultural Evening! Making use of the common demand of massages in LPC, they have been offering massaging sessions in the Spiritual Center all week long. They lightened candles on the floor, organized pillow beds to lie on, dressed as beautiful Japanese and Korean tea ladies and offered tea to everyone and played Asian relaxation music. It was a very lovely atmosphere, and the massaging skills of our APEC students were truly marvelous.
They had bought different lotions and offered massages for the shoulders and neck, back, head, arms, legs and hands. You could receive massages while sitting on a chair or lying on the pillows, and whoever only had a chair massage, was eligible for a pillow massage right afterwards, too. Some non-APEC students, like Alisher from Tajikistan, Sarah from the US, Michael and I, helped to massage as well. It was a great and popular community event, and I can’t wait to see what other promotion events APEC will come up with!
